I actualy didn't have to download the midisport drivers, because I plugged it in to my laptop, and windows found it for me. Thanks for the tid bits on the 64bit ordeal. I figured there was a reason why the soft synth in Acid wasn't finding the EZdrummer software. So, does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how I can get EZ drummer and anything else I may have issues with to run? I am new to this 32 to 64 bit jump.Īny advice or online tutorial pages would be greatly appreciated. I keep reading online that people are finding ways to make all these 32bit software run on a 64bit systems. But I use the Toon Track drum programs for my drum tracks, so it is a key piece of software I need to run. SD 2.0 will run all the EZ Drummer expansions, so it may help. I have not tried to installed Superior Drummer 2.0 yet. Acid Pro 7 is still a 32 bit program, so I have had no isses with my Waves plugins so far.ĮZdrummer however is not showing up in my soft synth list within Acid. I installed Sony Acid Pro 7, Toon track EZdrummer, and all my Waves plugins on my laptop running 64bit. If you run a 32bit software on a 64bit system, do you still get all the advantages of the extra ram and what not that you have installed? I think all Sony's current software runs in 32, but they claim its all compatible with Windows 7.

So far, I am un-aware that Acid Pro has an official 64 bit version. So I am assuming Windows is using a generic driver for it. When I plugged it into my 64bit laptop, it was pretty much plug and play without issues. When I first attempted to make the jump to Windows 7 (only 32bit though) late last year, there where no drivers for my M-Audio Midi USB box.

Toon Track EZdrummer and Superior Drummer 2.0 Here is what I currently use on my 32bit op for my recordings. I Just bought a Sony Vaio laptop with Windows 7 64bit, and I have been using it to test a few things. And with being able to hold up to 16 gigs of ram, I would like to be able to utilize all its balls. My current studio PC is running Windows XP 32bit, but is totally able to run a 64bit op. Ok, so I know there is a lot of issues that could arise, and I was hoping someone could help me avoid any issues.
